5 out of 5!!! Absolutely love Gotham swim. They take their time with each student to have them learn the fundamentals of water safety and swim. I would definitely recommend this program. All the instructors show a strong sense of patience and care.

Miles, Rick, and the team at Gotham City Swim are absolutely fantastic. The instructors really take the time to get to know your kids, make sure they feel safe and are having fun, and really make sure they're grounded in the fundamentals of swimming. Both my kids get excited when it's time for swimming lessons; I can't recommend them highly enough.

Gotham swim has done wonders for my daughter. They are so kind and gentle with each child. My daughter went from kinda knowing some basic skills and strokes to dominating at her meets. Thanks to Miles and Rick and the entire staff, they really go above and beyond.

The best place to learn how to swim. Miles is very flexible with parents when it comes to days, payment, whether you kid is sick, make up classes, and you don't see that often in other places at all. He genuinely cares about the fact that parents run around like crazy and are trying to make it all work for their kids as such he tries to be helpful and not add to their already full mental load. Rick genuinely cares about seeing the kids progress and will give them tough love and constructive feedback. Not to mention the pool at 86th is a real pool not the tiny one like other places that teaches swimming in the neighborhood have where your child has no space to dive and swim and entire length. Highly recommend

I found Gotham Swim through a google search. One there, I could see right away that the team of instructors at Gotham Swim had a good progressive system to teach adults how to swim. They started with the very basics and soon I had the confidence and skills to swim. I appreciate all the coaches but I primarily worked with Alex who was a great instructor and always had great tips that were simple yet effective. Miles is great as well and the communication to arrange training times was easy and effective. I definitely recommend Gotham Swim for any adult who wants to learn to swim.

Gotham was recommended to us by a friend earlier this year. We had previously tried other schools in the area, but my daughter had made little progress. However she improved quickly after joining this school. She loves the classes and her instructors are great. The owners are very helpful and flexible. We are very pleased we found this school.

My kids LOVE Gotham swim lessons! We went through a few swim classes at different swim schools but the pools were all freezing and my kids hated it. We have been to two locations through Gotham and both were very nice with heated pools. The instructor/staff have been very patient with my kids and helpful/communicative. It is such a relief as a parent to see that my kids can now swim. They love swim class!

We came initially to teach our son basics to be safe near pools, but now he has flourished and swims like a fish. Caring and capable instructors that make the learning experience enjoyable. Would highly recommend. We have no regrets.

SO grateful for Gotham. We take a water baby class with Alex, and it is truly the highlight of our week. I didn’t think it was possible for my baby to really learn how to swim, but she is already going under water without any issues. Alex is enthusiastic, patient, and sings songs for the entire lesson. The owners and the rest of the team are passionate, personable, and hands on. Can’t wait to come back!

Gotham Swim is a gem! The instructors and directors are caring and kind and take time with each student. Within a couple of lessons, I saw huge changes in my 4 year old's confidence in the water, and a few weeks after that, he was swimming, right in time for summer where he refused to wear his floaties. The swim team for more advanced students is challenging but safe, and the instructors put the students first. One day when my 8 year old was just too cold and instead of pushing him too hard to continue, they realized he needed a break. I appreciated that because in other places it was not that kind of caring approach. I am very impressed with his progress, because the director is actually helping each student individually and challenging them in a kind and productive way. Both children love going, and we love how responsive and accommodating the owners are.

We switched to Gotham from another swim program where my daughter was making zero progress and the instructors didn't even get in the water with the kids. I'm SOOOOO glad we made the change. What a difference! She has made incredible strides, joined the Gotham Swim Team, and what's more, LOVES it. She adores Coach Rick, who is an excellent teacher, and even says she'd rather be a mermaid than a human. Highest praise from a 7 year old. They've fostered her love of swimming in a really warm and flexible environment. Thank you Miles & Rick!

We have tried a number of swim schools and Gotham Swim has been absolutely wonderful for my daughter. They have helped our daughter to embrace swimming as a skill, add on more complex skills and build on to its joy in a way that was stress free for us as parents. She has so much joy and enthusiasm going into school every single week! Will be signing up our younger daughter as well next semester- would absolutely recommend.

My 4 year old granddaughter has already made great progress at Gotham Swim in her initial season. She went screaming and crying to the first lesson. By the second, she was excited to go. Now she asks if she can stay in the pool for another lesson. Miles runs an excellent program and the other instructors, especially Matt, are terrific at putting the children at ease even when introducing new skills. Every child should learn how to swim. At Gotham Swim they have a great, safe time doing so.

Fantastic swim program! My kids didn’t just progress quickly but also loved the classes. Before Gotham Swim, my son (6) had a very negative experience at one of the famous swim programs in UES where he was forced to go into the water in tears. Now, from the first lesson with coach Alex, he is having so much fun, does not hesitate to jump into the water and cannot wait for the next lesson. My daughter (10) also made tremendous progress very quickly, joined their relaxed team and became so passionate about swimming. ALL coaches are amazing!

Gotham City Swim quickly improved the quality of my 4 year old daughter swimming. Prior to signing up, she had a fear or diving and jumping into the water. After 2 classes she does not have the fear and even likes diving to retrieve diving sticks. It's hard for me to keep up with taking photos and videos because coach Rick is always keeping her busy with various lessons. My daughter loves going to Gotham City Swim and sometimes cries when I tell her class is over.

Gotham City Swim has improved my son's swimming tremendously in just a few lessons so far. He is so comfortable and happy in the water now! We really can't believe it because he used to hate to swim. We had tried two other swim programs on the UES with very cold pools and were not seeing any progress. Miles at Gotham City Swim promised me that I would see improvement very quickly and he was true to his word. Their program and their instructors are fantastic. After much trial and error with other local swim programs, I am so happy we found Gotham City Swim and would highly recommend them to other families! My son is actually excited to swim each week now, which is a huge change.

I am incredibly pleased with the experience my 5 year old daughter has had at Gotham City Swim. Within just a few months of starting as a beginner she has learned new swimming techniques and is genuinely excited about each class. The instructor's positive & encouraging approach, along with their belief in my daughter's abilities, has undoubtedly played a key role in her progress.
